Basketball

Basketball is offered to boys and girls in grades 6th through 8th at St. Mary’s Help of Christians Catholic School.  There are A and B teams for the boys and girls.  Basketball practices are held in the SMS Life Center.  The season runs from late October thru January.  SMS basketball teams compete in the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) private middle school league.   Teams also have the oppurtunity to participate in the Diocese of Charleston State Catholic basketball   tournament  held each year in March.  The location for this tournament rotates between Charleston, Greenville, Aiken, and Myrtle Beach.
